Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 2026Mallonworks, LLC ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what we need to communicate with you and run our photography business, we use it to provide services and market our own work, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and phone number when you email us, fill out a contact or booking form, or book a session.
- Project details relevant to your session, such as property addresses for real estate shoots or event details.
- Photographs taken during sessions, which may include identifiable images of you or others (see Section 5).
- Basic technical data if we use website analytics, such as browser type, pages visited, and approximate location. We do not currently run analytics, but if we add them in the future, this policy covers that use.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through this website.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to inquiries and communicate about bookings and projects
- To deliver photographs and related services
- To send invoices and maintain business records
- To market our own photography services — for example, sending you information about mini-sessions or availability if you've worked with us or inquired before
- To showcase our work in our portfolio, website, and social media (governed by our Terms of Service and any model release you sign)
That's it. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes — ever.
3. Email Marketing
If we send marketing emails (such as a newsletter or seasonal session announcements), you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us directly. We may use a third-party email service provider (such as Mailchimp or similar) to manage these communications; those providers store your email address on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using it for their own purposes.
4. Service Providers & Data Storage
We use a small number of third-party services to operate our business, which may process your information on our behalf:
- Website hosting — our site is hosted by Netlify. If you submit a form on our site, the form data passes through and may be stored by Netlify.
- Email hosting — our business email is hosted by our email provider; your correspondence with us is stored there.
- Business software — invoicing, accounting, and booking tools used in the normal course of business.
- Image delivery — photo galleries and download links may be hosted by third-party delivery platforms.
Each of these providers processes your data only as needed to provide their service to us.
5. Photographs of People
Photography is our business, and photos are treated differently than contact data:
- If you are a client or a photographed subject, our use of your image is governed by our Terms of Service and any model release you sign — not solely by this policy.
- We may display session photographs in our portfolio, website, and social media unless we've agreed otherwise in writing before your session.
- Street and event photography taken in public places is conducted in accordance with applicable law. If you appear in a public photograph of ours and would like it removed from our website or social channels, contact us and we will review your request in good faith.
6. Cookies & Analytics
Our website does not currently use cookies for tracking or advertising. If we add analytics tools in the future (such as Google Analytics), they may use cookies to collect anonymized usage statistics that help us understand how visitors use the site. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings at any time.
7. Data Retention
- Business correspondence and records are retained as needed for tax, legal, and operational purposes.
- Photographs are retained indefinitely as part of our professional archive unless removal is required by agreement or requested and granted under Section 5.
- Marketing contact information is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
8. Your Choices
- Access or correction — ask us what contact information we hold about you and request corrections.
- Deletion — request deletion of your contact information (we may need to retain records required for tax or legal purposes).
- Unsubscribe — opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- Image concerns — see Section 5 for photograph-related requests.
To exercise any of these, just email us. No forms, no hoops.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including secure email hosting and reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we handle your information with the same care we'd want for our own.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
